Tweet-Sized Landing Page

HOAHelper
Ultra-Minimal
Landing Page

A TSLP breaks every traditional landing page rule: no hero image, no long copy, no navigation. Just personality, a clear offer, and one action. Converts because it looks like a person, not a company.

📏
The TSLP rule: Everything above the fold must be readable in under 7 seconds. If they need to scroll to understand the offer, it's too long. The copy you see on the live mockup below is the complete page — nothing hidden below the fold.

What Makes This Version Work
  • Founder as human, not brand: "Hi, I'm [Name]" immediately signals this is a person, not a corporate machine. Trust up.
  • "Board president for 4 years": Establishes peer credibility. They're not selling to board presidents — they were one.
  • "Pool-hour texts at 10pm on Fridays": Specific, relatable, emotionally resonant. Board admins smile or wince — either way, they feel understood.
  • "Free for now, not forever": Creates soft urgency without being pushy or fake-scarcity manipulative.
  • Bullet specificity: "60%" not "reduce." "30 minutes" not "quickly." Specificity = credibility.
AIDA Framework Applied
  • Attention: "Hi, I'm [Name]" — breaks the pattern of anonymous brand pages. The human face grabs attention.
  • Interest: "The HOA Board Burnout Rescue Kit" — the title speaks directly to the reader's identity and emotional state.
  • Desire: 4 specific bullets that each solve a real, named problem. Not features — outcomes.
  • Action: Single email field, single button, zero friction. One action available on the entire page.

A/B Testing Rules
  • Never test more than one variable at a time on the same page
  • Minimum 200 visitors per variant before evaluating — smaller samples produce misleading results
  • Primary success metric for all tests: email opt-in rate (not clicks, not time on page)
  • Run each test for at least 14 days to account for day-of-week variance in traffic patterns
  • Statistical significance target: 95% confidence before declaring a winner
  • Use Google Optimize (free) or a simple UTM-tracked split test with two separate URLs
Section 04
Technical Implementation Notes
Performance Requirements
  • Page load target: Under 1.5s on mobile (LCP). A slow TSLP defeats the purpose.
  • No external fonts: Use system font stack — Inter or -apple-system. No Google Fonts loading delay.
  • No large images: If using founder photo, serve at max 80×80px @2x, compressed to <30KB WebP
  • Single-file HTML: All CSS inline or in <style> tag. No external stylesheets. Faster parse.
  • Email form: Connect to ConvertKit, Mailchimp, or equivalent via their embed code
  • Mobile-first: Stack left/right panels vertically on screens <600px wide. Left panel (founder) goes second on mobile — offer first.
Analytics Setup
  • PostHog event: Track "email_submitted" event on form submit for attribution
  • UTM parameters: Maintain UTM through the form submit — pass source/medium/campaign to email platform
  • Scroll depth: On a TSLP there should be near-zero scroll. If scroll depth >50%, the page is too tall — cut content.
  • Heatmap: Run Hotjar or Microsoft Clarity for first 500 visitors to see where attention goes and where people drop off
  • A/B routing: Two separate URLs (hoahelper.app/free-a and /free-b) with 50/50 traffic split via Cloudflare or Vercel edge routing
  • Conversion definition: Form submit = conversion. Not click, not pageview.
